American Mahjong Academy

American Mahjong Academy is a complete, native American mahjong game and trainer for Mac, iPad and iPhone. Sit at a four-sided table with 152 tiles — flowers and eight jokers included — run the Charleston, expose pungs and kongs, exchange jokers, and declare Mahjong on hands from the card, with real American payouts.

BUILT TO TEACH
The Hand Helper strip shows the card hands closest to your rack with the tiles you still need faded out. Hover or long-press any tile to see what discarding it would do. Every tile carries its number and suit letter, the card is one tap away during play, and calls are announced out loud.

ABOUT THE CARD
The bundled Academy Card is an original practice card written for this app in the standard American categories. It is not the National Mah Jongg League card, which is copyrighted and changes every year — everything you learn here transfers straight to a League table.
