Pasapapa

Pasapapa is a party game about guessing phrases out loud in SPANISH.

One player describes the phrase on the screen without saying it. Their team guesses. The second they get it, the phone passes to the next player, who already has another phrase waiting. The phone travels hand to hand like a hot potato until the buzzer goes off, and whoever is holding it hands the point to the other team.

First team to seven wins.

EVERY PHRASE IS IN MEXICAN SPANISH

All 10,000 of them: the sayings, the food, the telenovelas, the comedians, the slang, the things you only say at home. This is the game for a table that talks like a Mexican family talks. If nobody there reads Spanish, this is not the game for you.

HOW TO PLAY

• Two teams, one phone, four people minimum
• Describe it however you want, just never say the word itself
• Tap the screen to move to the next phrase
• Hold your finger down to pause

Rounds run somewhere between 45 and 75 seconds, at random, and you never know how long yours will be. The panic does not come from watching a countdown. It comes from knowing it can go off in your hands. The screen glows brighter as the end gets closer.

• En Familia — Sayings, famous faces, food and culture. Safe for everyone, grandma included.
• En Confianza — Once everyone has loosened up: hangovers, mothers-in-law, exes, and the odd double meaning.
• Sin Madre — Nobody here is judging you. Very strong language, not for Sunday lunch.
